Burning Chrome

Burning Chrome is a short story within a collection of stories in a book of the same name. It is written by William Gibson, an American author, whose work has brought up important issuses such as Cyberspace and Virtual Reality. The main Characters in this story are Automatic Jack, Bobby Quine, who are both console cowboys and have been partners for a long amount of time. Chrome, who is a high tech whore who runs the 'House of the Blue Lights.', Rikkki Wildside, who is Bobby's girlfriend and is about 19 or 20 years old. and Finn, a technical engineer who is a friend of Automatic Jack and runs a shop called 'Metro Holligraphix'.

The story is about 2 console cowboys named Automatic Jack and Bobby Quine. Bobby finds new love with a girl named Rikki Wildside. Because of this, Bobby wants to become rich, so he plans to burn down the 'House of the blue lights', which is owned by chrome. Jack and Bobby plan this and crack Chrome's ice with a Russian code breaker that Jack purchased from the Finn.
